William Shortell Paintings
I have been painting for 17 years.
For 38 years, I worked as a clinical Medical Technologist in the Boston area.
In 2006, I attended my first painting workshop at PAAM (Provincetown Art Association and Museum, The instructor was Ilona Royce-Smithkin. She was 86 at the time and a gifted painter and teacher. I was hooked.

I’ve attended workshops at Boston Center for Adult Education, Cape School of Art in Provincetown, Castle Hill Center for the Arts and the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
My paintings are mostly colorful landscapes and seascapes.
I currently live in Boston and in Provincetown.
